In March of 2018, I looked in the mirror and knew I had to change something. I was so unhappy with what I saw and knew there wasn’t enough food in the world that would bring back my happiness. I decided that my life and health were more important than any love I’ve ever had for food.

I weighed 260 pounds when I started this journey, and I’m only 5’1″ and 32 years old. I’ve lost 92 pounds as of today. Its been a little over a year and I’m the happiest I’ve been in years.

This journey starts mentally, so I began by preparing myself physically and spiritually as well. I started going to Weight Watchers, taking POUND classes, drinking more water, and walking. I also signed up for a gym membership.

To tell you that this journey has been easy would be a lie. However, to tell you it was worth every struggle, and every tear I ever shed would be the truth.

If I could encourage any lady on their weight loss journey. I would tell them to love themselves before anyone else can or will. You owe it to yourself to be happy. It’s your time to let your inner self shine through. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d be on a journey so fulfilling. I did it for me, and I’m truly happy! Ladies, you can do this!
