I’m a mother of four and a grandmother of one. I decided to switch to a healthier lifestyle: no pills or shakes, just hard work, and dedication.
What was your motivation?
My starting weight was 225 pounds. It seemed like I picked up the pounds overnight. My knees were aching, and I had back pain. I was very uncomfortable in my own skin, and I knew it was time for a change. I changed my diet and my way of thinking.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating by leaving fast food alone and prepping my meals in advance. I mainly stick to lean meat and veggies. I bake or pan sear my food.
What did you do in terms of exercise?
I did tons of cardio, but now I’m more into weight training.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 225 pounds. My current weight is 155 pounds.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I started my journey two years ago. My journey is not over. I’m still going strong, and I love my new life.
What advice would you share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice to all women: When your body gives you signs, never ignore them. Also, no matter how many times you fall off track, never give up. If I can do it, anyone can. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.
